He will glorify Me, for He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you.
~John 16:14~
The Lord taught us the significance of delcaration through His own journey here on earth. He walked with such authority and power to which He made very clear came from His Father; "Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into His hands, and that He had come from God and was going to God." (John 13:3)
Jesus honored God, the Father, in all that He did and He fulfilled His very purpose for being here. He never hesitated to speak truth and He whole heartedly declared it over each situation. He carried the confidence in God that He knew what so ever He spoke would be. "Then Jesus spoke to the multitudes and to His disciples."
(Matthew 23:1)
God sent His own Son to walk about His own creation making declarations over His people so that one day we would go on to do the same. There are things we struggle with making declarations over at times, aren't there? We tend to beg God more then we tend to stand in what He has already spoken. There are things to ask God for and there are things to declare with God on. Are we lacking confidence in who He is? Are we feeling as though we do not stand under that same authority as Jesus Christ? Well my friends, we are! "And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth."
(Matthew 28:18)
As Jesus' disciples, we are a piece of Him. We are sent just as He was sent. We are used as His holy vessels to do His work, to glorify His Name. Perhaps there is a piece of us that fears what others may say if we begin to make declarations in the middle of a situation that some may see as a bit overbearing, prideful or entitled. That is not the way we should be acting by any means. There are ways of declaring God's gifts and promises while being humble before Him. It is a matter of learning that balance and not allowing our flesh to take control. Just knowing Him and trusting in Him will cause us to declare what He will do for us with faith; "Yes, we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead."
(II Corinthians 1:9)
If He has the power to raise the dead with one single word, what more do we believe He is willing to do for us? It is all written down in the Scriptures. Books of promises and declarations made by His own children per instruction. When Jesus ascended He gave us instruction too; "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen." (Matthew 28:19-20)
We are to make disciples, as Jesus did. We are to teach, as Jesus did. We are to observe, as Jesus did. We are to lay hands on the sick, the hurt, the demonized and declare God's power over them, just as Jesus did. He has given us the keys to the Kingdom so that we may come into agreement with His written promises. All we have to do is use our faith in God to make those declarations and to counteract the devil's tricks from hindering our blessings. Let's face it, we are in a constant war to things we do not see. Satan looks to destroy anything that follows Jesus and he doesn't just go away for good once we fight back a couple times, he just switches up his tactics on us. Let's continue sticking to our guns with the Lord and laying the sword of the spirit into him with each blow to our surroundings. Declaring God's word over any circumstance in faith will most definitely cause God to intervene and shift us right back into place.
Let us believe in our own walk with Christ to get things done with Him, not just rely on begging Him to do it all for us. We signed up for an army, its time to take our positions in it; the great part is we are always on the winning team with Jesus Christ! "Through God we will do valiantly, For it is He who shall tread down our enemies." (Psalms 108:13)
Prayer:
Lord God Almighty, thank you for Your great power that dwells within me through Holy Spirit. Without You, I am merely a weak human. With You, I am able to declare Your word and make a shift in my enviroment. I declare over this day a mighty blessing from above. I decree no devil can harm my family in Jesus Name and that we are covered by Your Blood which covers a multitude of sin. Im praising You for the strength You supply me to keep pushing on ahead in this journey. I'm confident in You Father, for I know when I come into agreement with Your written word that on earth what so ever I bind with be bound in heaven and what so ever I lose will be loosed in heaven. I'm standing on this today and honoring Your Name through each moment of victory! May all my brothers and sisters be increased in their faith so they may too walk in declarations just as You walk. You are alive and You are with me. Satan cannot change what has already been won! In the Name above every other Name I receive You fully today, Jesus Christ. Amen.
