The Lord Heals

He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

~Psalms 107:20~

I know we have a lot of intense emotions running through us in these times we are living in. I know that things we see may seem damaging and unrepairable. When we take our eyes off the world and focus our eyes on the One who is in charge, our spirits will feel a divine peace that is unexplainable; "You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You." (Isaiah 26:3)

Perfect Godly peace is the kind of peace we as humans cannot feel on our own. It is something we can not earn. It is a gift to those who trust in Jesus and His ways. David understood this gift and held on to the Word. We can see how David almost prophesied in a way to what was also to come; "He sent His word and healed them." We know that Jesus Christ is the word made flesh; "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth." (John 1:14)

Jesus is the Word. He came to heal and set the captives free. In a time like today, as we approach the end times closer, we need to focus our eyes on our King. We need to fill ourselves with the Word of God and receive our healing and deliverance spiritually and physically. The Lord promises a lot of blessings to those who fear Him; "By humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches and honor and life." (Proverbs 22:4)

We become rich in Christ the closer we lean on Him. When a child gets hurt their immediate response is to run to their mother or father and ask for help. The parent is quick to bandage the child up or drive them to a nearby hospital if the injury is worse then they can handle. As children of God we should run to the Lord in the same way for our trials and the best part is He is already right there waiting for us to ask Him to help, He is also far more capable then earthly parents are. If a child decides to hide the injury and not go to the parent, then the parent can not help them. We have got to stop relying on our own ways. We have got to stop reacting based off emotions. We know the main tactic the enemy likes to use is an attack on our mind. When he can get you to believe that the Lord no longer heals or the Lord can't help you with all of your problems, that you are going to have to figure it out on your own; he can get you to walk in that belief, stop praying and figure it out by yourself. We have the ability to believe and receive; " Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." (Mark 11:24)

Without praying and relying on Him we do not receive.

If we hold on to doubt in our hearts in what the Lord offers us as our King, then that door is closed and He is just standing waiting for you to open it for Him. "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."

(Revelation 3:20)

The Lord is quite the gentleman, He gives us the choice to rely on Him, He does not force Himself on anyone's life. If you choose to live on your own terms then He will let you. However if you give your whole life to the Lord, you can rest assured you will be in the best hands; "For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand. Today, if you will hear His voice: “Do not harden your hearts, as in the rebellion, As in the day of trial in the wilderness." (Psalms 95:7‭-‬8)

We have to be the kind of sheep who really follow Him every step of the way, no matter how hard things may become, know that He is the Good Shepherd; "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep." (John 10:11)

The Lord gave His life for us. He came to heal and deliver us and He continues to do so. We need to remember this every day and give Him first place in our lives; over our spouses, over our children, over our possessions. When we put Him first the rest shall follow; "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." (Matthew 6:33)

Choose Jesus. Stand beside Him. The end of the bible says for those who do we win with Him and are glorified with Him. Focus on this good news and know as we are faithful to Him, He is faithful to us. This is glory! This will give you amazing joy and peace in the midst of dark times. The Lord will heal your broken hearts, depression, anxiety, confusion and infirmities. There is nothing that He is unwilling to do for His sheep. He is good, we must remember this as we question who is good; "So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God." (Mark 10:18)

What a beautiful thing we have in Jesus, our deliverance from our own destructions. There is nothing to fear in Christ. There is nothing to worry about. Jesus fulfilled scripture already. Our job is to rely on Him whole heartedly and endure for our faith to the end.

Prayer:

Father God, thank you for the glory You have shown through Your Son, who delivered me from destruction, who healed me and set me free from the grips of satan. Thank you for the power that rests in me. I receive Your gift to the end and I pray for the strength to endure no matter what comes my way, to stand beside You in faith and fight for You and to put You first above all. I pray for deception to pass around me and not pierce my heart. I pray for peace to fill my heart in a way I can shine Your light to those who live in the dark and need a way out. Show me how to be the salt to the earth and fulfill my very purpose to the very end. I praise You Jesus and honor Your Name as it is in charge. Everything must bow to it even if they don't understand why. You are the King of Kings, Lord of Lords. Hold this sheep close Jesus, guide me to green pasture. In Your healing Name I pray, Jesus Christ. Amen.
