But Jesus looked at them and said, “With men it is impossible, but not with God; for with God all things are possible.”
~Mark 10:27~
After a long and beautiful day full of things that I may have considered impossible at one point in my walk with Jesus, I heard Holy Spirit tell me to write today's devotion on just how possible God can make anything. He watches our every move, our every tear, every shout and waits for the opportune time to turn our doubts into confidence. If we believe in an Almighty God big enough to form the earth and everything in it, why do we find ourselves doubting in things much smaller then these very acts?
"And He said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do doubts arise in your hearts?"
(Luke 24:38)
We find ourselves getting wrapped up in what we see with our eyes that we forget beyond that there are things in which God does all day long that we cannot see. We say to eachother this phrase time and time again, "it is impossible!" Jesus tells us with God, nothing is. As we follow God in our own journeys in this world we tend to wonder what He is going to do next. We can rest assured that what so ever we believe is just "not going to happen for us," God can do for us in His perfect timing. Trust is a major factor in His miraculous gifts. Trusting that in times we may think something will never be again, Jesus says He will bring it back to fruition; "And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him."
(Luke 15:20)
When we think that we will continue to struggle, Jesus says He will bless us abundantly at a time we least expect; "saying, “Surely blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply you.”
(Hebrews 6:14)
When we feel as though every ailment in our body will always be until the day we die, Jesus says He is able to restore our flesh; "by stretching out Your hand to heal, and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of Your holy Servant Jesus.”
(Acts 4:30)
When we become tormented by our emotions day after day and believe this is just "how we are and we will just cope with it," Jesus says He can deliver us; "He shall deliver you in six troubles, Yes, in seven no evil shall touch you." (Job 5:19)
Do we believe that God is the God of the impossible? Do we limit the things in which our all sufficient Father can do for us? Jesus made it very clear to us that He can do all things, that mere men can not. As I sat in the round about where I nearly took my own life, two years ago on the 30th, I began to have a conversation with the One who did save me and turn my life completely around. I began to think in that moment of misery that it was impossible for me to ever feel good, to ever be the wife and mother I so longed to be and I never in a million years would of dreamed of having a relationship with God. God flipped all of my "impossibilities" around in one night. Because of Him, I have never looked back and now only two years later I was blessed with a ministry for Christ, a growing family, restoration in places I thought were doomed and an abundance of blessings coming at me each day. Sure there are hard days, but after witnessing the impossible become all possible, I have nothing left to lose but all to gain in Christ Jesus. I am living proof that with God nothing will be impossible. The Lord spoke to me tonight in that very spot I was ready to give my own life up and He told me "I was the voice that told you to go home, I was right there with you." Just when I believed that i was unloved and unwanted, Jesus made all of this be washed away in the blink of an eye. The possibilites are endless! "For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation."
(Psalms 149:4)
I meditated in that moment with the Lord of His great possibilities. The amount of people I have seen blessed, the joy that has surrounded me and the manner in how quickly I have come so far with Jesus in such a short span of being in the faith. This shows just how God can take the impossible and turn it all around for the glory of His Name. For there could of been no other way to get where I am today without Jesus Christ on my side and me on His. No matter what you may be struggling with today and no matter how impossible you may believe things are; remember the words of Jesus Christ. Write them down, place them in every room of your house if need be. We must understand that with God nothing truely is impossible. Life is beautiful with Him. No amount of pain can last forever as we follow the Lord each day.
Prayer:
Jehovah Shalom, thank you my Father for bringing me to where I am today; knowing Your Son, being delivered, healed and redeemed. I truely understand just how possible anything is with You beside me. Lord, where there is pain I trust You will mend it back together in Your time. Where there is sadness, I know You will bring comfort. Where there is waiting on prayer, I believe in Your destined time it will be answered. Help me to hear Your voice clearer each day as I am led along the path of righteousness. I declare victory as You formed the foundations of the world and can withstand all things. I receive all the love and blessings You are willing to bring today and I thank You for them. In Jesus precious Name, I pray. Amen.
Amen! <3
