No Restraint.

August 22, 2021

Then Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, “Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the Lord will work for us. For nothing restrains the Lord from saving by many or by few.”

~I Samuel 14:6~

For each battle that has come to be the Lord leaves a remnant. A small remnant or a large one, He leaves all He chooses. He shapes and strengthens those of which by their own willingness and personal faith are able to stand. Jonathan was called to prepare his army to fight against the Philistines. Jonathan had kept this from his own father and began to do just as he felt deep within his being he needed to do for and most of all, with the Lord. The passion in Jonathan spoke loudly as he made declarations of God's mighty strength. In a little or in a lot the Lord will always win. This is the same kind of faith we must walk in as we serve Jesus Christ today. Even if it is us against hundreds we can know that where the Spirit of the Lord is we will prevail within His power; "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord." (Isaiah 54:17)

Jonathan believed this with every ounce of his being. No weapon formed against him and his men would prosper, for the Lord is in charge. If we truely believe in what the Lord is calling us into we will also be willing to take charge with Him, leaving our own family behind if need be, just as Jonathan left Saul for this moment. Jonathan felt within his heart that God needed a job done and he was in no way going to attempt to wait any longer. When the Lord tells us to move, we must be willing to move regardless of who is ready and who isn't. It is up to God to manage who is not right beside you in it. He will shape them in His own way and time.

"Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us."(Psalms 62:8)

Jonathan had poured out all he had to God and trusted that what so ever he was called into it was the perfect will of God Almighty. His faith was so strong that he knew even in a small army, if it is an army of the Lord it certainly wins everytime. The power and might comes all from Him. For when God defeats He uses whoever is willing and fearless. Jonathan surely was. He was also obedient. He was willing to sneak away from his own earthly father to serve his Heavenly Father. For this is the kind of child God calls upon to use in battle. We live in interesting times my friends. God is seeking for a remnant who truely believe with their whole heart, soul and mind. "Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind." (Matthew 22:37)

Jesus is looking for His children to believe enough to leave what so ever He tells us to leave and declare His divine strength over each situation. The battle is already won, just as it was already won for Jonathan, all we have to do is walk in faith of that victory and speak the word that God gives us to speak. The Lord will work for us and we shall rejoice now! Whatever circumstance we may be up against now; whatever illness, financial crisis, family heartache or bondage we are in at this very moment God is speaking to His people to armor up and believe that He has given this crisis into our hands for victory. We can be a people of confidence, not in ourselves but solely in our God; "For with God nothing will be impossible.” (Luke 1:37)

Do we really believe in these words? Nothing, absolutely nothing is impossible with God.

For nothing can restrain Jesus when He speaks into a situation. It is up to us to use our faith to walk in it regardless of who comes with us or who is standing in the way of us. With God's power the outcome can and will be the same as it was for Jonathan and his men! Stand. Fight. Declare. Defeat! Jesus will shine through when we do.

Prayer:

Father God, thank you for the incredible power You have given to all believers in Christ Jesus, Your Son. The very gift of Holy Spirit which dwells within all of us ready to guide us into the victory You have spoken over our lives. It is Your will that Your children fight in faith and prosper in Your word. I choose to be all in Your Army ready to serve, declare and address each battle You have prepared me for. It is by Your Blood and glory. Let Your Name be greatly praised. All that I am called into I am faithful that You will bring me through. Bless my feet as I walk this journey out to the fullest. I bless all my brethren that may follow and those that may be left behind, as I surrender all things to You and Your time. For nothing shall restrain You my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
