Move In Spirit

June 8, 2021

The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

~John 3:8~

Our bodies move in the steps we take, the facial expressions we make and the maneuvers we do each day to complete a task or job. God gave us flesh for an intended purpose. Inside all of us are spirits. Our own individual spirits aligned to who we are as the being we were created to be. Our internal DNA was formed by God for His glory, in which we have a choice whether we want it to align to our Father or to rebel against Him. Jesus tells His disciples about rebirth. You could imagine the looks on their faces when He said this. Nicodemus was puzzled as to how one could possibly be born again; "Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” (John 3:4)

I always love to imagine my Lord Jesus giggling a bit after He hears Nicodemus' reply in this way. Almost like a young child asking their mother or father a question that is just too cute not to smirk at before answering in knowledge not yet approachable by the child. The willingness to learn how this could be led Jesus into yet another parable like description. He explains the wind and its movements to Nicodemus. Nicodemus of course is familiar with the wind, yet not familiar with all its purposes; aside from having breeze to cool down or air to breathe for survival. The wind is not visible yet we trust it and welcome it against our flesh. It is not predictable yet we trust in the way which is decides to blow. To be born again into our spirits and into Christ's Spirit is to connect to the unseen, to trust in which way it takes you even if we can't logically understand why. It is to move steadily and peaceably with Him. The spirit detects things far deeper then the flesh could ever.

"The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God."

(Romans 8:16)

We can come to Jesus in our flesh and believe in our body that spiritual truths exist but it isnt until we are born into it and willing to truely connect to it that we can move with Him in this way. Our flesh will continually war with the things Holy Spirit is calling us into.

We will be free to move more in confidence as we trust in the things which are unseen. We will blow across the world with God and be witnesses for Him in faith. Faith allows our spirit to truely declare the works of the Lord. "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible." (Hebrews 11:3)

It activates Holy Spirit within us to bring the unseen to the seen. We will never know fully where the Spirit is taking us but we will learn to trust in each step He takes us into. He will never lead us to somewhere dangerous nor will He direct us in negativety.

This is how we discern the difference between Spirit of truth and spirit of error.

"We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error." (I John 4:6)

We can not be saved by any other Name then that of Jesus Christ and we cannot understand His Kingdom without being born into His Spirit. The baptism of both must take place to walk in His design for our lives as children of God. This is not to say we are not still His and loved. Yet He is asking us to dedicate our entire being; mind, body, soul and spirit. Without being willing to learn more of the spiritual world we will not be truely able to learn from our great Lord and Savior. For all He came as was supernatural and spiritual. Born of flesh yes, however conceived in spirit and brought down from Heaven to make Himself all for relation to us. Now we have the gift of making ourself all of Him to relate to His Kingdom and walk in it. Are we having trouble flowing in spirit? Are we focusing more on the earthly things around us then the unseen forces above us? Are we desiring things which feed our flesh rather then things which feed our spirit? Jesus says unless we are born again in spirit, we cannot see the Kingdom of God. I do not believe this necessarily means we will not go to Heaven when we die if we are not connected to Spirit completely. When we all believe in Jesus we are indwelt with Holy Spirit, it is up to us to allow Him to work in us in power. I believe Jesus meant that all spiritual things done by those who perform God's signs will be unnoticed by those walking more in the flesh. To those who are not fully connecting themselves in Spirit, will be misunderstood or not fully giving credit to the things of the supernatural. To them it may seem odd. There will be confusion concerning the works of God's miracles even as it is something fairly simple and small in front of them. Let's face it friends, we are surrounded by supernatural, our flesh just doesn't admit that this is what we live in. A blooming flower, a chirping bird or a steady cloud in the sky; all made by God, spoken into being by a word from His mouth. They are all spirit, we just need to connect to it in such a way. I can promise that when we do it becomes so adventurous and joyful to live in this earth. We will begin to blow wherever God takes us and loving on everything as His. Let us truely see the Kingdom with our spiritual eyes as we become born again into spirit. For Jesus said if we cannot believe the earthly things which He speaks then we will not be able to believe heavenly things. He came to bring heaven to earth and to bring us to heaven for it is within us; "nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.”

(Luke 17:21)

As we are born into His Spirit and growing ourselves to truely walk in faith flowing as the wind of the air, He will continue to open our eyes up to more beautiful things of the spiritual realm. Signs and wonders will follow and God will receive the glory!

Prayer:

Jehovah Shalom, thank you for the gift of rebirth. Thank you for Your peace that surpasses all of my own understanding. I long to be fed more meat and understand more of the spiritual realm of Heaven. Lord, I believe in the word which You have spoken and I believe that there is always room for more knowledge in my life. If there is a part of me that is struggling to live in spirit and to align myself fully to You, help me to grow from the pure milk of the word. I give my days to You Jesus and trust in wherever You take my spirit. I receive power from above to declare Your Mighty works and bring glory to Your Name. The Name of my King Jesus Christ, I pray. Amen.
