Life Is In The Blood

March 23, 2021

For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.’

~Leviticus 17:11~

If we take a look back at the Old Testament and understand how God's law was originally written we can fully understand His rules and regulations on how to live holy and just lives. How he intended on His people to act, speak and properly be set apart to Him. Yes I know Leviticus can be rather descriptive, gruesome and uncomfortable in detail; yet it is still a part of God's living word and we must not ignore things that may make us feel "uneasy." Truth can hurt sometimes but it is necessary to understand who God is and what He stands for. This verse is honestly one I am most fond of reading through as it allows me to understand the importance of the blood and the representation of it in the body. "For the life of the flesh is in the blood," clearly stated here. This is why God forbids anyone to not eat the blood of any flesh. "for it is the life of all flesh. Its blood sustains its life. Therefore I said to the children of Israel, "You shall not eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off."

(Leviticus 17:14)

When we understand how the soul is connected to the blood, we can better understand the atonement for our souls in the blood sacrifice. To get you squirming a little more in your seat; this is also why satanists present blood sacrifices to the enemy when they do their abominable seances. Satan wants nothing more then the soul and he too knows scripture, better then we do. The life is in the blood. Once it is poured out, the life itself is as well. Now, let us get to the part that will bring us joy in understanding this verse. The new covenant sacrifice, Jesus Christ our beautiful Messiah. "The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!" (John 1:29)

Jesus came as an atonement for the sins of all mankind, He shed His Blood onto land and broke every curse the devil could ever try against us. "In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins."

(I John 4:10)

The love God has for us is large enough to offer up Himself on the altar for the entire world. He wants to save our souls. For if not, we would certainly be on our way to a dark eternity.

His Blood is ours to be covered by, His Blood carries His life. "Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you." (John 6:53)

Jesus being ressurected, lives on forever, His Blood is everlasting and His covenant is pure and unbreakable. By His Blood we have true life in us. We are joined together in His Spirit. We remember this new covenant each time we take communion together as a family; " For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." (Matthew 26:28)

This is the beauty of Leviticus 17. The sanctity of the blood is described as majorly important in the supernatural realm and natural realm. By testifying Christ's Blood over our lives daily we are receiving the offering set before us to be sanctified, brought near to God and protected against all curses and hexes the devils people may try against us. Nothing is greater then Jesus' Blood. It is power. It is authority. It is pure atonement and everlasting forgiveness. It is freedom for our souls! "to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord."(Ephesians 3:10‭-‬11)

The fulfillment of the scriptures Jesus gave us all is sealed with His Blood and shown to all of the world and all of the heavenly realm. "You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!"

(James 2:19)

Satan cannot touch what God has sanctified, he knows the power of the blood. There is nothing greater then the life of God in us; "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world."

(I John 4:4)

When we really take a moment to pause and meditate on the true atonement Jesus made for us with His own holy Blood, we can truely feel how important we are to Him. Our soul, our life and our freedom from evil is more important to Him then we could ever imagine. This is why reading through Leviticus can actually bring us to a whole new understanding of why God did what He did for us and how He had no other way to have us beside Him but the way of His great Lamb. The blood is so sacred to a body that we must take it very seriously and to heart that when we recieve Christ into our life we receive His Blood as a testimony of true sanctification. Let us "take our hissop and mark the lintels of our homes" with the Blood Of Christ and pray for those who may be caught up in the schemes of the enemy, that they make break free from this bondage and save their souls. We are so blessed to have life eternally through the Blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ our Lord!

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, thank you for making a way for my soul to be saved from eternal damnation. I know that without Your Blood covering I was on my way straight to hell. I break every curse over my life in Your Name and praise You for freedom in this! I am so grateful for the understanding of how sacred blood is to You and that it holds the life and makes atonement for the soul. Thank you for joining my spirit to Yours and giving me Your life. You are alive in me and may the glory of God shine so brightly that every devil may flee at the sight of Your Blood covering over me. I am righteous because You are righteous. I am holy because You are holy. I am justified, sanctified and set free from the hand of satan through Your precious Blood and I declare nothing is greater then that! Glory be to You and Your amazing sacrifice and purest love You have for all Your children. Thank you for being so good to me Jesus. For Your Blood speaks louder than that of Abel's. I receive blessings and divine protection for my family and I in Your powerful Name, Jesus Christ. Amen.
