I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
~John 14:18~
The Great I Am. Our beautiful Father in heaven, our Lord Jesus Christ, His Holy Spirit; the trinity of divine love. Most days I go go go, but today I am sitting back in Him and being at total peace that Jesus is always right beside me whereever He sends me. When people ask me how I do it? My answer is, "Him". When people say ,"you must be tired," my response is "He supplies me with His energy and strength." The honest truth is none of us can do it alone. We just cannot. Sadly most people become defeated by trying to do so; trust me I know, I have tried. Again, even in those times, He was there. He never left me orphan. Even at times I felt rejected or an actual orphan, the Father cradled me in His arms through it right to the moment I was ready to nuzzle Him back; "He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler."
(Psalms 91:4)
He is our safe space, our hiding place, our tower to run to out of the rushing storms beneath us. "For You have been a shelter for me, A strong tower from the enemy."
(Psalms 61:3)
I know there are some of those who are reading right now who may feel rejected, unheard or unseen. I know there are troubles surrounding us in this world and life as we know it may seem like nothing could possibly get better.
I'm sure you have heard of the saying "calm comes before a storm." Heres the thing, the calm also comes after a storm as well. If we focus on the glory ahead, the period of rest and calm that will follow when we are in the midst of heartache, we will feel His peace. The peace of Jesus whom looked beyond His own circumstances as He carried His cross up Golgotha. Let us pray and look ahead.
"I pray, let me cross over and see the good land beyond the Jordan, those pleasant mountains, and Lebanon."
(Deuteronomy 3:25)
Let us have the eyes to see beyond what is in front of us as we come to Him today in prayer, asking for His divine strength and mercy to fill us as high as it can go. The eyes of Jesus sees the beauty in the ashes, He gives us the filling in the areas we lack in those moments, He takes away our heaviness as we praise Him; "To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord , that He may be glorified.” (Isaiah 61:3)
We can become firm in our unsteady times. We can remain planted as the trees of righteousness, when we are rooted in Jesus our Guide who never leaves us, we are able to get knocked around in the wind and rain of life and remain strong and rooted even still.
He will always be there to hold onto us as we keep our eyes on Him. If you are feeling orphaned today, know that God sees you everywhere you go, in the midst of anything that comes at you and already has a plan to get you through it. His plans are amazing, His will is amazing. He knows best. The joy we can take in today just by this one specific verse from the mouth of Jesus Himself speaks volume. We can hear God speak to us and say, "I have always been with you. I will always be with you and I will get you through it, just hold My hand."
I want to remain very short and simple today, not because it has been a long last few days, because to be honest it has; but I want to keep this short so you can really just meditate on this one verse from God and remember we are never alone. He is so good to us all. Love you all. God Bless this beautiful day.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you so very much for always being there for me, even when I was not there for You. Lord, Your love is never unreachable and I long for more of You. I pray more people find Your love that is always reaching out. Fill me Holy Spirit with divine rest and peace in my heart that will give me the eyes of Jesus and be able to shine it onto others each day. Use me to be that blessing as You are for me. I give You my all Jesus. I praise You, my King, as You guide me through this world, my temporary home. No matter how hard life may get, no matter how I feel now, I know You will never leave me and You are going through life with me. May all glory be given to You today and everyday. I rejoice in Your presence, and receive all blessings today that You gave Your life to give to me. In Your Name I pray this prayer, Jesus Christ. Amen.
