Holy, Holy, Holy

February 28, 2021

but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct,

~I Peter 1:15~

We are called; called to be the Lord God

Almighty's children. Just let this sink in for a moment...

If we choose to accept this call we accept being His. We are not just His children, we are His servants, His vessels, His friends and His teammates. The Lord is worthy, worthy to be praised always; "Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness."

(Psalms 29:2)

The world we see all around us is His, planned by Him and made by Him. We have no right to say otherwise. The Lord is so glorious that even creation itself will praise Him; "Let heaven and earth praise Him, The seas and everything that moves in them."

(Psalms 69:34)

On this beautiful Shabbat, we shall not only rest for the day is Holy, we shall give thanks and praises to Him for He is Holy. This is a true gift to us. A lot of people like to focus on the negatives to the earth around them, to blame each other for the changes occuring and taking place. The real focus for us should be the fact that God is still in charge. He is still Holy and He still sits on His throne and handles exactly everything just as it occurs.

"The Lord is in His holy temple, The Lord ’s throne is in heaven; His eyes behold, His eyelids test the sons of men." (Psalms 11:4)

We can praise the same God that Abraham himself spoke to as a friend. We can still give thanks for all that He does. For this is the will of God that we should worship and praise Him for He longs for our love. The very image of our Father makes me want to sing to Him. He hears us! He sees us! His ears crave the voices of those He made.

"The Lord is slow to anger and great in power, And will not at all acquit the wicked. The Lord has His way In the whirlwind and in the storm, And the clouds are the dust of His feet." (Nahum 1:3)

To invision clouds being dust to His feet, makes one really grasp the idea of just how big and wondrous He is! Even the angels praise Him and they never stop! "The four living creatures, each having six wings, were full of eyes around and within. And they do not rest day or night, saying: “Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, Who was and is and is to come!” (Revelation 4:8)

We are blessed to receive rest. The least we can do is begin praising and worshipping here and now and forevermore; this way when we get to heaven we are ready to continue with the angels! God is preparing us for heaven! God is bringing heaven to earth by calling us to be holy. It is our job to align ourself to Him and be cautious what we do and what we say in our conduct. For the Lord is calling us to be imitators of His Son.

"For God did not call us to uncleanness, but in holiness." (I Thessalonians 4:7)

If God wanted us to remain doing what so ever we please with our lives, He would of never called us to begin with. Sin is sin, holiness is holiness. We cannot claim ourselves for Christ and remain openly sinning. The Lord's truth tells us the dangers of compromising. "For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins."

(Hebrews 10:26)

God's Holiness does not take sin lightly. He made this world around us, we fell into pride and a need to be independent and then we point the fingers and claim we deserve everything under the sun. Honestly friends, we deserve nothing. God deserves it all. He is gracious and merciful to plant us here and give us life, to bless us with an adventure to overcome and endure, to allow us to show others who His Son is and is to come!

Hallelujah! As we wait on the Lord, we should be praising Him! Singing songs of worship, dancing like an excited child and pouring our whole hearts out before God each and everyday. Today is our day of rest, but as I have said let us use this "rest time" to praise and worship just as the angels are doing in this very moment. The power of praise loosens every dark being creeping about trying to pounce on us, for they hate the sound of praises to the Lord. "You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!"

(James 2:19)

Glory to God! For they tremble at His Holiness! Let us remain Holy so they see Him in us and tremble. Let us praise Him!

God is so good and so pure. "that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor."

(I Thessalonians 4:4)

Again, we are His and we are to give Him our entire beings. He does not want just part of us, He wants all of us. What an honor for us to be wanted by such an all powerful God!

Let us worship together today and feel the power of God rushing into our homes! Let us present our bodies holy and acceptable to the One who is Pure. He awaits our worship!

Prayer:

Father God, I sing songs of praise to You for You are all knowing, all powerful, all loving and inspiring! I sit and rest in Your presence today and remember all that You have done for me and through me! Thank you Lord for trusting in me enough to use me for Your wonderful plans to be fulfilled. I am forever Yours Jesus. Keep me safe from deception, steered free from pride and to let go of any control I may try and take over my life or others. I declare I shall worship in spirit and in truth. I pray Lord that more of Your children are spending this day praising You for all the glory that is in front of us. In the Name of Your Son, my King, Jesus Christ. Amen.
