So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase.
~I Corinthians 3:7~
There is a time and a season for all things according to what God desires. When we focus ourselves on Him and direct our attention to each nudge and word we feel or hear from Holy Spirit, we will be in line with the plan He designed for our lives. We are each here to be the salt to this earth as Jesus spoke of; "You are the salt of the earth." (Matthew 5:13)
When we are seasoned just right the outcome that we bring will taste just perfect to the Father. The ones He places in our path are there for a reason, there are no coincidences. There is only God. His will for each of us is to be in tuned with His voice, His leading, His truth. When we go off course we may be lining up to a different path set for us as a trap. "The proud have hidden a snare for me, and cords; They have spread a net by the wayside; They have set traps for me." (Psalms 140:5)
The Lord wants to guide us away from these traps or should we fall into them He wants to quickly lift us out in strength. He is always right there for us. No person on this planet could ever give us what Jesus can. It just isn't possible. We should be waking every morning as believers with abundance of joy in our hearts, singing praises for what He has given us even in the midst of storms brought our way. Jesus knows all about storms; though He is capable of calming them.
"And they came to Him and awoke Him, saying, “Master, Master, we are perishing!” Then He arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm." (Luke 8:24)
There is absolutely nothing too great for our King to manage. Aligning ourselves to Him, we will begin to plant seeds wherever He takes us. We will begin to show the Light to others who may not understand or see the Lord in their day to day life. We are merely nothing without Him. "And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God."
(I Corinthians 2:4-5)
There is nothing in which we can do for the Kingdom's glory without the presence of God in us, without relying solely on Him. Without Him we are merely dust. We can plant in action, we can water in prayer but in the end God brings the increase in harvest. It is His will, not ours. We are to trust in what He does. "Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord , And whose hope is the Lord ."
(Jeremiah 17:7)
The Lord is looking for laborers to trust, rely and plant all in His timing. He is looking for us to belong only to Him. He is searching for Kingdom workers, ones to truely love Him with whole heart. If we find ourselves planting seeds in a time that is on our own want, we will find the increase will not come or it will come and eventually die off soon after. Planting has to be in the perfect time of season so the sun will not scorch it or the frost will not freeze it. The elements around us work the same way as humans. God is instructing us to understand that apart from Him and His perfect timing, there can be no increase or a very delayed increase. It again boils down to obedience and spending the time to listen and pray for His "go ahead". "And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to the Lord for it; for in its peace you will have peace." (Jeremiah 29:7)
Only the Lord can give a peace that will allow us to be patient in the waiting. We cannot rush into things, we cannot work according to our own flesh and we cannot trust in what the world has to offer. Jesus is our main source of power and understanding. Without it, we are truely nothing. I am not trying to make you feel worthless, because you were very much so designed for great purpose, we all were. I am humbly and truthfully stating that without Christ we cannot fulfill that very purpose in which God created us to be in. He is the Way. With great faith comes great glory for the Lord! Let's gather together, obey the voice of the Lord and watch as God brings the beautiful increase of His children!
Prayer:
Abba Father, how sweet You are to me as I wait in Your perfect time. Thank you for giving me divine patience when the enemy tries to cause frustration. Thank you for peace that restores my weary soul. Thank you for love that pushes me to endure when my enemies whisper in my ear to just give up. You are the Victor and as I follow Your lead, the harvest will come at its perfect time. Lead me in the way of Your path and direct my every step towards Your will. I am confident that the work in which You began, You will bring to complete fulfillment. I receive Mighty blessings and a win for the Kingdom today in Jesus Sovereign Almighty Name. Amen.
