From Death To Life

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

~John 11:25~

Statistics show that 10 out of 10 people will die, this is a fact. It is blunt, yet a fact. This is the outcome we receive being born into this world. The good news? There is another world we do not even see yet! The best news? We do not die in the next world. Without the Lord Jesus' sacrifice for us we would of never had a way to know what eternal life felt like. Here's the thing, we all have bodies on earth. Each one of us has a spirit inside us. Here on earth everything is physical; we see, we hear, we touch, we taste and we smell. In the spirit things are rather different. There is beauty to the natural but in the supernatural there is beyond what your brain can imagine. When we were born into this world we were born into sin. It immediately enters us and we have the option of receiving the gift Jesus has to offer us, life. Our spirits are in a sense, dead and the only thing to bring life to them is repentance and the blood of Christ; "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” (Luke 5:32)

When we choose to repent and admit we are doomed without the Lord, we receive life, His life. I am witnessing many people in this world who are highly afraid of death itself. The thing about death and our time in this earth is we can never control our time. It either is or it isnt anymore, God decides our appointed time from the beginning. It is set and done. This is the reason we are told to enjoy each day, to not worry and to submit to God. When we choose to do this we live with peace in our hearts and fear doesn't have a place to live. When we understand that our life is His, we understand He controls our destiny and our fate. If we decide to take control of our situation, as a lot of people are right now, we are now claiming ourselves to be God and choosing our own fate. I hate to be the bear of bad news but no matter how hard you try to take control, you will never avoid your own appointed time of death. What you can control is your ability to choose to give Jesus control and receive His life. When we choose Christ we are one with Him; "But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him." (I Corinthians 6:17)

Think about it, Jesus hung on the cross, bled out, suffocated and was pronounced dead. His body was buried in the tomb and everyone mourned His death. Three days later He rose and now He lives, just as He promised He would! When we choose to live in Him we rise with Him. Even though we leave this earth one day, we rise with Him and live with Him. This is a promise He also gives; "For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus." (I Thessalonians 4:14)

We are to believe that He truely lives, not just say I believe in the stories and theology behind it but truely take hold of the truth that He is alive and with us and just because we do not physically see Him beside us does not mean He is not there. The world we cannot see and the beings we cannot see are there every moment of the day. My point in all of this is that those of us who are living in fear each day wondering about a virus, an accident that may occur or a moment of weakness that may cause us to loose our own lives only is a fabrication of our own feelings of worry and control that is manifesting. The enemy loves to make you play God. The enemy loves to make you question every single moment of your day and wonder. Heres the thing, if God called you to be alive until October 24th, 2027 at 10:34pm then that's exactly what is going to happen. Then on that very spoken date of your life ending on earth it will play out just as so. There is no changing God's plan, however you can choose how you live each day out by enjoying it and living for Him. You can choose the peace of God to rule your life. You can choose the love of God to fill you wherever you go. You can choose to give Jesus the reins and show you where to go without any worry or concern. For if the Lord is raised we are raised with Him. For those of us who believe in Him we shall live. Think about this burden being lifted from our spirits when we begin to give satan a way to inject his fear and sense of control into our bodies. Let go and give it over to Jesus, He already defeated death; " And God both raised up the Lord and will also raise us up by His power." (I Corinthians 6:14)

There is no sense in worrying. Our lives can be so much more enjoyable as we focus on Christ and the life in Him. Sometimes we can end up causing more damage physically when we try to take control of a situation instead of letting it play out as it should. God is always in control and there is nothing too big for Him to handle, this is truth; "God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble." (Psalms 46:1)

The next time you start to wonder or feel concerned repeat this verse to yourself and know that the word of God is living, God is living and we are living in Him! Glory be to God for the ability to live eternally and beautifully beside Him. Let's submit our lives to Him and set aside the foolish worries that the devil puts in our minds. They are just that, foolish. Death is inevitable for all of us, yet for those who choose to believe in the Lord and His redemption, we live on. There is nothing to fear or control, the end will happen just as it is meant to. Trust Him. Let go. Live while you can in peace, He wants you to.

"Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace always in every way. The Lord be with you all." (II Thessalonians 3:16)

Relax my friends. Be at peace with the time He has given you. It is our choice to make and walk in; "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live." (Deuteronomy 30:19)

Prayer:

Father God, thank you for the ability to choose life because of Your Son. The sacrifice You gave is far greater then any fear that could take over. I choose life over death and it is all because of Your blood shed for me to be washed of my sins. For I know the wages of sin are death yet because I choose Jesus, I live in Him. I know Jesus rose from the dead and I too have spiritually rose with Him and one day physically I will too. Glory be to You Jesus for giving me the freedom to choose and live in this earth with You beside me. I know that in You I can do all things and I do not need to fear. Help me to remember the gift of true life, especially in times when everyone around me may be crippled in fear. I give You control, I submit to You and I give all glory and praise to You. Thank you for being so faithful to me, even when I wasn't to You. I receive and rejoice in this prayer in Your amazing Name, Jesus Christ, the King who is alive. Amen.
