Climb That Mountain

June 22, 2021

Then Moses went up into the mountain, and a cloud covered the mountain.

~Exodus 24:15~

Moses was a man who hungered for God's presence. He went from being a man who ran away from God to a man who ran towards God. Moses was meek and careful, longing to do all that the Father commanded of him, as best as he could of course. God gave him an important role and was about to come near to Moses. The instruction God gave to Moses was for him to leave all the people behind and climb up to the mountain where His glory would be present. He was invited by the Lord to come to Him; "Then the Lord said to Moses, “Come up to Me on the mountain and be there; and I will give you tablets of stone, and the law and commandments which I have written, that you may teach them.” (Exodus 24:12)

God was about to give Moses an important "document." In order for him to retrieve it, Moses had to climb up to where He would be. What is it that we are asking God for? Are we waiting to retrieve something important from Him? Are we expecting God to come to us or are we willing to climb to Him? To run into His presence. In order for Moses to seek the glory of God's presence he had to leave all his people behind and be alone. God wants one on one time with each of us in this manner. We must be willing to take that time out of our days to leave our folks behind to go somewhere private to seek the Lord's glorious manifest presence; "I love those who love me, And those who seek me diligently will find me." (Proverbs 8:17)

Are we ready to ask for Jesus to show Himself to us? Let us get our climbing gear ready. God is ready for us to move up that mountain and enter into His cloud. He treasures each of His children and desires us to see His glory, we must ask and be willing to go to Him just as Moses was willing. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him."

(James 1:5)

Moses was on his way to receive wisdom in his own manner, so can we; for scripture says God gives to ALL liberally. That's you and I!

Let us crave more of the Lord's glorious presence and find out own personal mountains to climb to and receive Him. One on one, just Him and us. Let us rest under the cloud of His glory just as Moses did.

There is no greater feeling then being in the manifest presence of Jesus Christ. He is the face of Heaven. He gave Himself so we could be with Him, here on earth and eternally in paradise; "who are Israelites, to whom pertain the adoption, the glory, the covenants, the giving of the law, the service of God, and the promises; of whom are the fathers and from whom, according to the flesh, Christ came, who is over all, the eternally blessed God. Amen."

(Romans 9:4‭-‬5)

Some of the trials we are going through and some of the waiting we are sitting in is God's way of preparing us to begin that climb to come closer to Him on His mountain of glory. He has something amazing in store for us when we do. Let our hearts be focused on Him, our minds be thinking of Christ and our actions be that of His own as we strive to come into that complete alignment of Him. This is what He wanted from the very beginning; to have relationship, intimate time with each of us and for us to take on His image everyday. "And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man."

(I Corinthians 15:49)

Let us strap up, boot up and be ready for when God calls us to start climbing up to the top where He will be waiting to cover us in His Sh'khinah glory.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, my Mighty Creator, thank you for loving me so much. I long to come into Your manifest glory as Moses did and I am willing to climb my way to get there. I am grateful for the strength and patience You provide me, I could not do anything on my own. My flesh is weak. My spirit is willing. I need more of You Lord. Let Your light shine brightly upon me that my countenance shines back and the ones I come back to will see I have been with You closely. They will notice You and not me, for I will take on Your image more. Jesus, lead me in the way to go. Let Your guidance be visible to my mind so that I may become distracted by things around me. I am awaiting to be closer to You; to see, touch and feel Your Sh'khinah glory. I receive blessings over this day and declare victory in my Lord's Name, Jesus Christ. Amen.
